Safety with Excellent Comfort

Engineered in Germany.

Strong performers for the whole year: Continental tires combine driving pleasure with maximum safety. And they regularly impress as test winners in the tyre tests conducted by Auto Bild, Auto Motor und Sport or ADAC. The traditional tyre manufacturer combines a high level of comfort and dynamic driving pleasure with modern technologies. For drivers, this means sovereignty in every traffic situation – and this has been the case since 1871.

Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH: Always on the move

The company Continental was founded in 1869 when it took over a small rubber manufacturer from Hanover: With the founding of Continental-Caoutchouc and Gutta-Percha Compagnie in 1871, the tire manufacturer developed into an innovative technology company.

Even then, technical and scientific progress set the tone, so that as early as 1904, Continental launched the world's first air-filled tire with tread on the market. A few years later, the first removable rim followed. In the 1970s and 1980s, when Continental took over various tire companies such as Semperit, Uniroyal and Barum, the company also impressed the international market. With increasing success. Today, Continental is known all over the world for its tires and is one of the world's leading companies in the automotive industry.

Tires from Continental: Innovative Technologies for More Driving Pleasure and Safety

Continental's tire range includes winter and summer tires for passenger cars, off-road vehicles and vans, as well as tires for motorized two-wheelers and bicycles. Continental equips its tires with practical technologies for greater driving comfort – including ContiSilent™. Thanks to a polyurethane foam attached to the inside, the technology reduces tire rolling noise in the vehicle. This allows drivers to travel quickly and yet pleasantly quietly. At the same time, ContiSilent™ does not impair mileage, driving performance, speed or load capacity.

Powerful and popular: tires from market leader Continental

In Germany, Continental is considered the market leader for high-performance tires. That's why about one in four vehicles in Europe comes off the production line with Continental tires as standard.

And where are Continental tires manufactured?  For example, in the tranquil town of Korbach in Hesse. Around 30,000 tires are produced here every day at Continental's plant. The Group's other production facilities are located in the Czech Republic (Otrokovice plant), Sweden, France, Romania and Portugal. But no matter where a Continental tire is produced, the development takes place in Germany.

Whether summer tyres, winter tyres or all-season tyres, the results of the tests speak for themselves - because Continental tyres regularly roll into the top positions. And often even score as test winners. In addition, enthusiastic drivers report on their good experiences with tires from the Continental brand in many Internet forums.
